Among others, the Jackson Park will receive massive facelift that will include basketball, volley ball and lawn tennis courts, funeral grounds, wedding reception grounds, public stands and shops, a restaurant, washrooms, and changing rooms. Prefos Ltd would provide streetlight installation comprising 30 galvanized polls and 40 wooden polls within a six month period. The Paramount Chief of New Juabeng Traditional Area, Professor Emeritus Daasebre Oti Boateng commended the government for the initiative.
He said the chiefs would work with government to deliver public goods to the people. He urged the government to plan towards maintenance of the project to ensure that it does not deteriorate soon after completion. The event was attended by religious leaders, market women, the Assembly Members, the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Michael Okyere Baafi, the MCE, Mr. Isaac Apaw Gyasie, the media and residents of the community.
