The Chief Executive Officer of Prefos Ltd, Mr. Alexie K. Fosu has assured the President of Sierra Leone, His Excellency, Julius Maada Bio that Prefos Limited would support Sierra Leone’s national electrification program to ensure that the people of that country attain their developmental goals and objectives. He said Prefos Ltd would make its vast experience in the field (acquired over a period of 30 years) available to Sierra Leone to promote business growth, provide security for motorists and pedestrians and enhance the scenic view of the country’s streets.
Mr. Fosu made these observations during a business interaction with President Bio in the Sierra Leonean capital, Freetown a couple of weeks ago. He noted that Sierra Leone is a beautiful country with vast business prospects and opportunities, but this would require support from emerging business entities like Prefos Ltd in order to fully realize this objective. On his part, President Bio welcomed Mr. Fosu and Prefos Ltd into his country. He said his government is committed to the development of Sierra Leone and would stop at nothing to ensure that this objective is realized. He observed that streetlights play a vital role in a nation’s development. It is for this reason that his government intends to work with Prefos Ltd to develop and modernize its street light infrastructure within the shortest possible time. President Bio pledged to provide the necessary support needed for Prefos Ltd to install streetlights in his country.
The Prefos delegation also met the Sierra Leonean Minister of Energy, Alhaji Kanja Sesay to discuss ways by which the two sides can collaborate to improve on the street light infrastructure. On his part, Ghana’s Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Francis Abakah welcomed Prefos to Sierra Leone and urged the company to provide quality street lights to improve the facilities in the country.
